Freight Policy

Payment is required prior to shipping of all orders.

Flat rate freight of $20 excludes Large bulky items Australia Wide. May also exclude dangerous goods in all areas outside Melbourne Metro.

Melbourne metro, large bulky and/or heavy items is determined by courier guidelines. This may include orders that are split across multiple boxes.

In these circumstances, we will provide you a quote for the freight charges for your approval.

Please note that shipping days and times may vary with each order. This is out of our control. If you feel your order is taking longer to arrive than usual, and you have had no luck with tracking numbers, please send us an email. We will do our best to help trace the order and provide you an update.

If you are purchasing something of Value we highly recommend adding on freight insurance. This can only be done when sending the item via Australia post. The insurance amounts vary based on the value you would like to insure it for. Process you order as normal on our website and then send us an email immediately for further information.

We use couriers or Australia Post to deliver our orders. This is assessed on cost, location, transit time and the contents of the order.  They both require signature for the goods at time of delivery unless specified at time of ordering.

Authority to Leave – Couriers require signature for delivery. If you are not going to be at the place of delivery at the time of delivery you can provide us with an “Authority to Leave”  that we can put on your parcel.  Advise us, at the time the order is made, that it is OK to leave if no one is present to sign for the delivery.  “Authority to Leave” is done so solely at your own risk.

We and our nominated courier or Australia Post hold no responsibility or liability for missing packages or delays in deliveries. Once we request the Authority to Leave on an order, it is up to the driver to leave the parcel. We hold no responsibility if the delivery driver does not leave the parcel after we request an authority to leave.

If you are not at the premises and you did not request an Authority to Leave, the delivery drivers may attempt a redelivery or your item will be dropped at a collection point. Any fees that may arise from re-delivery are the responsibility of the buyer.

If your order has been lost in transit after it leaves our premises – we will work with the company to try track down its last whereabouts. Once the company deems it ‘lost’ they will notify us of the refund process. Each case is different.

We will only refund or send out another order to you once we have reached an agreement with the company for the refund. We will keep you updated along the way – however these things can take days or weeks to work out.

Lost parcels are not the fault of our team and we ask you be respectful to our staff. It is not the responsibility of John Wurzel & Co to reimburse the customer for loss of goods if the parcel is lost.

If you have any questions about the delivery of your item, please contact us.
